About Our Chapter
The VCU ASDA chapter is both the governing association for the student body at the VCU School of Dentistry and the local ASDA chapter that works in association with the National American Student Dental Association. Therefore our local chapter is called sgc/ASDA (student governance committee/ASDA). All of our policies and positions on issues affecting dental students coincide with National ASDA. Furthermore, the mission of our local chapter is synonymous with that of National ASDA and is outlined below.
National ASDA’s Mission Statement
The American Student Dental Association is a national student-run organization that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of dental students. It introduces students to lifelong involvement in organized dentistry and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy.
Please explore our website and use it as a tool for anything from becoming more educated on the issues that face us as dental students at VCU, to signing up for events that take place throughout the year, or just to browse through pictures from recent events!
