Day 2015
VCU ASDA holds an annual predental day for any people who are interested in applying to dental schools.
Throughout the day, we hope to give valuable experience to aid them in application as well as to provide numerous valuable resources.
Details:
-$100 for Predental Day
-$150 for Predental Day + VCU ASDA predental membership (SAVE $30!)
-$80 for VCU ASDA predental membership alone
Schedule:
11:00AM - 12:15PM: Check-in, Lunch (Mentoring lunch for ASDA members), goodie bag pick up
12:15-1:00PM: Welcome Address by Dr. Michael Healy, Senior Associate Dean for Student Services and Brittany Field, VCU ASDA president, OSHA presentation
1:00-4:00PM: Track 1 and Track 2 Rotations
Track 1: Info Session and Q&A with dental students, tour of dental school and wax carving session
Track 2: DentSim, Tour of dental school, and Mock interviews
4:00-5:00PM: Closing remarks and Q&A with Dean of Admissions, Dr. Riki Gottlieb
5:00-5:30PM: Raffle giveaways and refreshments!

Pre-dental Day was a day for me to learn more about what VCU has to offer its students, tour the school, and learn more about the interviewing process. The most critical part of this day for me was the preparation it gave me for interviewing. I had never partaken in any dental school interviews before and was not really sure what to expect. That day prepared me with a list of frequently asked questions and allowed me to practice answering them with a current student.
