ASDA’s 1st National Leadership Conference
ASDA held its first ever National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL on November 2-4th, 2012. Six students represented VCU ASDA, including Alex Barton (D4), Andrea Onderdonk (D4), Ethan Puryear (D3), Hanel Choi (D3), Jennifer Snyder (D1), and Mohammed Al Ansari (D1). As the first ever ASDA event that included schools not just from Districts but from all around the nation, ASDA’s National Leadership Conference promised from Day 1 to deliver knowledge and leadership skills and did just that! Talks included topics about networking, professional issues, health care reform, how to recruit new leaders, debt management, how to run an effective meeting, and more! Our students came back from the conference with confidence and a vision to make the VCU chapter of ASDA a better and more involved one. Feel free to ask any of these students how the conference went!
And be sure to check out the new photos on our facebook page! Nothing says Chicago like a deep dish pizza, and as one of the perks of going to the Windy City, our student representatives were able to dish out some deep dish pizza from Lou Malnati’s.
Here are our students with the representatives from Georgia’s ASDA chapter, Jordan Blankenship and Josh White!
